Serums are like Pringles: You can never have just one! And if you’re anything like me, that’s a good thing.
So today’s list? 3 skin boosters that you won’t be sorry you tried.
M-61 is beauty retailer Bluemercury’s in-house line, and I have fallen in love with this serum, which is like a good drink of water for the skin. This moisturizing formula is made with natural ingredients, and is “100% free from harmful parabens, sulfates, and phthalates,” according to their website. This Hydraboost serum is one of several M-61 products I’ve tried and instantly liked.
This serum is great for a quick dose of moisture without a heavy feel. A few drops will literally soak right into your skin and give it just the “hydra boost” that it needs. (See what I did there?)
Here’s how I use mine. At night, after cleansing and toning, I take about six drops and mix it with my Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum, and apply all over my face, neck and chest. This antioxidant and moisture cocktail sinks right into skin, and voila: You’ve got your moisture and your antioxidants all ready for the next morning when you wake up!
SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic
The grand-daddy of all antioxidant brews, this much-beloved serum gets more love than Justin Bieber on a worldwide tour.
(You guys? How good was that analogy. Okay. Moving on.)
The reason this guy (the serum, not the singer) gets so much love is that it combines well known, free-radical-destroying powerhouses Vitamin C and ferulic acid all in one bottle. Research backs its powers, and people everywhere have been loving this serum since forever.
It’s been in periodic rotation on my top shelf over the past ten years, and every time I use it, I see its brightening effects immediately. Go forth and glow my friends.
Beautycounter Rejuvenating Radiance Serum
I’ve been droning on and on about Beautycounter’s stuff for a minute here on this blog, because I’ve really fallen in love with some of their products. I love that the company has done the hard work of researching potentially-dangerous ingredients, and leaves them out of their formulations.
With a texture more similar to a light moisturizer than a liquid serum, this guy is good for a boost of moisture and antioxidant protection in the morning, before you apply your sun protection.
I use mine in the morning before slathering on my SPF. (If you recall, I don’t typically wash my face in the morning, so I use this if my face is feeling a little dry after being on my cotton pillowcase all night.)
