You know that feeling you get when you’ve done your seventeenth load of laundry in one day, the kids are smearing pudding all over your glass kitchen table and you haven’t showered in three days? One might call it… borderline insanity?

Well, my friend, you may be in need of a staycation.

Here in Central Florida, we are spoiled to have tons of beautiful hotel options within a short driving distance. And this past weekend, my husband and I took advantage of our proximity to the incredible Four Seasons Resort Orlando to get away for one night. And one night of decent sleep makes a huge difference in how you feel!

Luckily in this case, it was decent sleep, boatloads of sunshine, some pool wading, gobs and gobs of incredible food, a massage and a nice little stroll on the hotel grounds.

And then the next morning, because we are gluttons for punishment–or actually, because we truly, honestly missed them–we got the kids out to the hotel for the day and splashed around in the kids’ zone and family pool. I can’t say enough about how kid-friendly and incredible this resort is for families. They truly thought of everything to keep both you and your little people happy!

Let’s just say, we will be back as soon as we are able to! Enjoy the pics and forgive my burgeoning photography skills that still need a little work! Ha!

Bump in the palm trees!

Someone is happy to be here!

They have an adults-only pool, which obviously we used only for 1/2 of our trip. 🙂

The kids’ play area has corn hole, Connect 4, pool tables, a giant chess board, a playground and more!

Always time for the Lazy River
