Do anyone else’s “getting ready” sessions go something like this? 1) Shower; 2) Wait about 2 hours; 3) Battle hair into submission while blowing out because it’s starting to frizz; 4) Heat style hair into submission with several hot tools and hope to God you’re not frying your hair.

Or is this just me?

I had a meeting this morning and so I had to heat style my hair literally days after I had blow dried it (which I also had done in the most haphazard of ways.. #momlife), so I was working with some serious frizz. I reached for my ghd 1.25″ curling iron, which I hadn’t used in months, and was so pleasantly surprised with the results that I had to share!

Usually I go for a bigger-barrelled curling iron–a 1.5″ or even 2″–so that I can get more of a wave than curls, but it’s nice to switch things up and go for a different look with this tool.

This guy has six sensors throughout the barrel that guarantee the temperature stays at 365 degrees across the whole tool, ensuring even styling.

I use this on small sections of hair to get a tighter curl, but if you want to curl larger sections of hair at a time, you’ll get more of a wavy look.

Please excuse the amateur pictures. I wasn’t planning on posting this but had tons of questions when I posted the pic on my Instagram Stories, so I wanted to share!
