On a scale from 1-10, how weird is it that I am writing this from my hospital bed, 10cm dilated and getting ready to push?

10. Yes. Of course! Moving on.

Well, I got my epidural so I am loving life (and my anesthesiologist), and I can’t sleep because, well, you know, the whole about to give birth to a new person thing, so here I am.

No details now; I’ll save that for when I haven’t been up for 24 hours straight and have full command of my lower half again. But hope to see you back here soon when I do!

With our first child, no epidural because she requested it too late, my ex-wife slept between contractions. Nobody in the room could figure out how she managed to do that.
