One Whole Year
For all of its daily joys, the biggest knock on parenthood is the suddenly-crystal-clear lens through which you begin to finally grasp the relentless speed at which life is passing.

How fast a year goes by.
My sweet surprise child, you are my currently-breaking heart’s biggest joy.
Stay curious, stay smart and please please please—always let me hold you, my last baby.
