So, a bit of a personal post today, and an update to something big that’s going on in our lives.
If you follow my Instagram, you may have seen over the last few weeks in my Stories that we are expecting something BIG in our near future!!!
NO… no more babies! Haha. But a new HOUSE!
We broke ground over a month ago, and now the builders are framing everything in. (An early plea to please excuse my complete lack of technical terminology throughout the course of this process. I think “framing” is the right term here.)
This is a big change for us in a lot of ways. First, we are going to have more space in the new house, which is a good thing, but also… kind of tricky. More house to keep clean, more house to keep free of clutter (my newest nemesis), and more to decorate.
Obviously I am super grateful and excited for our new place, but I am going to have to be more mindful than ever about what we choose to bring into the house as far as furniture, toys, etc., so as to keep the space as open and clutter-free as possible. I’d like to keep my developing relationship with minimalism, so my mindfulness will have to be on point all the time in the new house.
But still a little too early to worry about clutter when the walls aren’t even up yet. 😉 Anxiety much?
Andrew and I both feel so excited and lucky to be able to build a home together—one in which our family will build our memories and our story.
And I’m excited to show you all the progress as it goes up. 🙂
Til next time…
